For those still bothering to read, my apologies for not writing often enough. Insead is as they describe it – pretty full on!
Exams start in a week and I am uncertain as to whether I will be two standard deviations away from the mean. At micro-economics, I have proven to be an outlier, more poetically known as a black swan. Stats (titled appropriately the Uncertainty, Data and Judgement course) has not been tested, I could be way below the mean, financial accounting and Valuations are the only two subjects I feel remotely confident about and that could just be a mis-guided view.
Advice to the pre-froshers who start in September – Do YOUR PRE-READING! Especially if you are what they call a Poet at Insead and not an Engineer.
Despite my marathon study sessions though, in true Insead style, I left the house at 11pm last night to return at 3pm after a fantastic Russian party wrapping up another national week in Fontainebleau. My goose bumpy moment was when the French Rugby team in their very cute striped t-shirts and red scarves, burst into the French national anthem followed by the the Insead anthem for the year – Black Eyed Peas.
Ah, the joys of being a student at Insead. It is rare that these insights flash through the chaos that fills a normal day at school but when it does, it captures a very vivid memory that will form the basis of eternal discussions on how wonderful life at Insead was.
